Default Sony BDP-S350 and BB price guarantee

I was wondering if anyone knows if Bestbuy likes their customers to offer price protection to items after 30 days?
I bought my BDP-S350 for $399 on 8/20 and this weekend it drops to $299. So, it is about a week after the 30 days. It is a real bite in the @$$ when something like this happens .

They will tell you that they are not allowed to, and that there is nothing they can do about it, but if they really want to they will. You better have a friend at customer service, or know a manager, because it is rare that they do.

Got mine on 9-7, so fortunately just under the 30 days, gotta run over to BB tomorrow morning 10AM. Anyone know if it is just as simple as walking up to customer service with your receipt in one hand and the new flyer in the other and asking for the price match? Or is there more to it?

Hey sokrman14, where at in Ventura county?

Check out walmart for $298.00. They'll ship it to you for free (store site shipping). In regards with another giant corp crumble and gov't bailing them out, be careful on what you wish for. This is our money you want to give them (our tax money).

You should be able to just go with your receipt and the payment method you used to pay for it. I've done that several times with no problem at several Best Buys.

(Just to avoid the hassle here... I don't work at Best Buy or know anybody who does ... I've just never had a problem with getting price refund within 30 days .... I've never tried price match, I've heard that's difficult if not impossible as BB slightly changes the product number to get around that.)

Same here.
They will price match ONCE no questions asked if under the 30 days.
Just need your receipt and maybe the card used for payment(if cash was not used.)

I've even had them give me free movies when the player I bought included 3 free movies 2 weeks later.


I've also had them drop the price of an HDTV LCD down $300 to price match a Frys ad. Took a whole 5 minutes for manager approval.
