Default Titles You'd Like Released by Criterion from Directors Already Included

What titles would you want released from directors who have already been represented in some way, shape, or form? Rereleases acceptable!

Peter Bogdonovich- Targets
Danny Boyle- Trainspotting
Joel and Ethan Coen- Barton Fink
Brian De Palma- Greetings/Hi, Mom
Spike Jonze- Adaptation.
David Lynch- Lost Highway; Inland Empire
Martin Scorsese- After Hours; Bringing Out the Dead
Kevin Smith- Dogma

Lost Highway, definitely! I would add along with that, Wild at Heart and Fire Walk With Me.

As for others:

Robert Altman :: McCabe & Mrs. Miller, California Split, Thieves Like Us, Brewster McCloud, Buffalo Bill and the Indians [those all need upgrades]
Michelangelo Antonioni :: The Passenger
Hal Ashby :: the remainder of his films from the 70s
John Cassavetes :: Husbands, Minnie and Moskowitz
Joel & Ethan Coen :: Blood Simple
Stanley Kubrick :: I would love to see what they would do with his films

And semi-related to directors, I would love to see Criterion release the Lone Wolf and Cub series as a box set, since they have done Zatoichi and Lady Snowblood.

I'd discount Dead Ringers and Sisters, as they already have spine numbers assigned to them, but thanks for the input.

Additionally, Lone Wolf and Cub & McCabe and Mrs. Miller are all but confirmed.

On Spike Jonze: since they are licensing Warner Bros. titles now, maybe Criterion can release the original cut of Her.

False. But they put out wonderful editions. I'll be the first to admit that some Criterion titles suck (The Game; Walker; etc.).

I found it boring as sin with horrifically unlikeable characters. Far and away my least favorite Fincher (still having to see Dragon Tattoo and Benjamin Button).

GHOST WORLD

LOST HIGHWAY

These are my two most wanted Blu-rays in general, regardless if Criterion ends up doing them or not.

Welcome to the Dollhouse and Happiness would be great too, although I think Dollhouse is with Sony and Happiness is with Lionsgate :-(

Criterion released films by Zwigoff, Lynch and Solondz before, so there is some hope.

Screw it. Godzilla box set of all of the original flicks (I forget the terminology used, but until Terror of Mechagodzilla).

The Showa era of Godzilla movies is what you mean. That would be cool, if those working at Criterion would consider doing more from the B movie genre. They did release the X from Outer Space in a set. Toho is a pain in the arse to deal with according those that Ive chatted with.

Thank you. But they were willing to put out all of the ones released by Classic Media on DVD as part of the Collection back in the Laserdisc era (even Godzilla's Revenge), so the chance is there.
