Dawn of the Dead and Land of the Dead are coming out on the 30th (this tuesday). Not really Zombie, but 28 days and 28 weeks later. Also the original Dawn of the Dead is out as well.

IF you want a copy of Land of the Dead I have one for sale for $17 shipped (amazon sells for $20.95) brand new and sealed.

It was alright. Got it as a rental on DVD. Pretty funny scenes and lots of nudity/gore... wouldn't buy it for more than $12 though.

Resident Evil movies are chuck full of zombies.

I think 28 days and 28 weeks later may be about zombies. (I haven't seen them but something made me think that.)

Depends on what you expect this movie to be like.
Are you more into high end Hollywood Action Zombie (ala Resident Evil) type of movie or bit of a lower budget indie feel (The Dead Next Door) movie with lots more gore and nudity... if its the latter then it might be worth it, however I would recommend a rental first.

I personally love zombie movies (my favorite kind of horror) and have seen loads of them... some, although being smaller productions, can still blow a lot of the high end ones out of the water. Most times they just are scarier and have that little something to it, Hollywood does not seem to be able to provide (see Argento, Fulci films).

btw I just watched The Signal last night (although not being a Zombie flick) I really enjoyed it

You can argue about the 28 Days movies being Zombie flicks or not.
Instead of some kind of virus turning people here they call it "rage"... plus the infected also run, very fast!
I still consider it Zombie though. 28 Days is a must own. 28 Weeks is also great and at least worth a rental to have seen it once (the beginning kicks ass- came over pretty intense in the theaters).

Well then by that criteria The Day After Tomorrow is technically a zombie movie.

28 days/weeks movies are not zombie movies. Its more like people with rabies chasing after other people and infecting others.
