Default A quick question for Netflix users!

Has anyone received Iron Man from Netflix? I am getting mine in the mail tomorrow and I was wondering if it will work on my BDP-S300. I know they recalled Iron Man, I just want to make sure I get to watch it tomorrow. And, for those of you who are wondering why I'm not buying such a great movie -I shall this weekend. For now I'm renting it for the family.

Thank you in advance!

No, Netflix skipped over Iron Man and Forgetting Sarah Marshall yesterday and I had two slots open. So I got no new release this week.

That sucks man..they told me TCM and Daredevil were on short wait..so they skip over them..and within 12 hours they arent on any wait...so I got screwed there.

Hah ya I had 2 open slots for those movies and didnt get them either. I went out and bought Iron Man because I figured it would take at least 2 months for Netflix to get it to me if I didn't get it day one. I have such a love/hate feeling towards them. I feel stupid for paying for a service that makes me wait such a long time for a new release.

I had already seen "Knocked Up" on HBO-HD, so it was not in my queue.

I browsed Netflix's entire Blu-ray selection yesterday looking for some movies to put in my queue that are available now. Guess what, I've seen every movie I want to see that is available on Blu-ray. What now?

Uh, lucky you. Mine still says "Very Long Wait" so that probably means I'll get to see it like 3 weeks from now. Netlix needs to seriously reconsider their Blu Ray stock and probably purchase more copies of each movie. Hell, Vantage Point is still listed as "Very Long Wait" and that movie has been in my Q for weeks now.

I used to have that problem. Having a movie and they skipped it. But, lately I've been getting all my movies. I had Batman Begins when it came out on Blu and they sent it to me right away. And, I had Oldboy in my queue for about a month, it said "very long wait," I put it as number one and returned my movies and I got it. The only problem I had was with Blade Runner: Theatrical And Director's Cut, I had it in my queue for 3 week and they took off there inventory.

And another thing. Has anyone had the issue of getting a movie a week or so after it says it's been shipped? That's been happening a lot to me lately. But, I have saved a lot of money by having Netflix to rent Blu-ray discs.

Anyone know why Netflix doesn't know when Dark City comes out on Blu-Ray (hint: it's already out).

I was hoping to rent it, but the BD is unavailable, and they have no estimate of when they think it will be released.

Actually, the Director's Cut of Dark City reads Very Long Wait. The regular one is definitely listed as unknown.

I had two open slots over the weekend and waiting for FSM and Ironman. So the slots were there.

With Batman and other movies that have already been out on DVD for awhile its pretty easy to get them on Blu right away. So I wouldn't use that as a good indicator.. for whatever we are trying to indicate here.

Regardless.. they need more inventory of BD's. I am almost tempted to leave Iron Man on there just to see how many weeks and or months it could take to get it.

To answer the original question since no one has. My store bought Iron Man played just fine on the S300. Load time was not bad and since it (S300) is not BD-live there were no issues like with other (PS3) 2.0 players. Enjoy

Same question for Salem Witch Trials. Netflix says "unknown", but it was released on 9/30/08.

having slots open 'over the weekend' is not early enough to get a semi-guarantee for them to ship new releases to you on monday, you have to get in line. i try to have slots open/(movies received by them) on wednesday and thursday at the latest and i always get the new stuff. honestly it is a competition but you just have to figure out how to work the system

I live a half an hour away from the distribution center too. But it really isn't an advantage for me.
