Problem : Forgetting Sarah Marshall - Blu-ray Forum

Has anyone had any problems with play back for " Forgetting Sarah Marshall"?

I played it last night on my Sharp Aquos BD-HP20 and every 20-30min the movie will freeze for about 5-8sec. and then start playing again. If any one knows why or how to get it fixed, please let me know

Was it a rental or a new disc....

Didn't have any issues with mine. I got it as part of the Comedy 3-pack.

It is a blockbuster in store rental, but it is brand new I rented it first thing on
Tue. There are no marks on the disc, and it's not that it skips, but just stops for a few sec. and then starts at the same spot again.

I had a problem similar to that with a rental from blockbuster mine got an hour in then it would freeze and kickoff the audio. No marks or anything on the disc. I was the first person to rent it. Im waiting on a new copy.

Watched it the other night, Netflix rental on a PS3, no issues at all.

I have the same model BD player and I have experienced the exact same issue from time to time. It did that to me with AVP-R and several other movies. It's so f*****g obnoxious!!

The best thing I have found to do when this happens is to unplug the unit, let it sit for a couple of minutes, and then plug it back in.

I highly doubt any of you were the first person to rent the copy.
Employees get to rent blu's and dvd's a week before release, as they wish.

I didnt have any problems with this movie but ... after I played it, my PS3 died!!!
Weird ...

How is the movie overall? I almost got it w/IronMan yesterday but decided to wait and see other reviews 1st.

I Liked it alot, The video was great. (Thank god 1:85) I don't have the audio set up to rate it. Overall the movie is funny as $^!% but still has a good stoty to tell.

I bought it with Iron Man. It was a blind buy for me. It's not as funny as 40 yr old virgin, but it has a really good story. The PQ is good and the AQ is really good. There were times when the waves were roaring from the ocean and it felt like the waves were all around me lol. Overall it's pretty good.
