Default Help on speaker suggestion...

OK, I'm currently using 2 Polk Monitor 60s and, tho I like them, I wanna get a little more punch out of my system. SO...I am looking at upgrading to the RTi12's currently, but had a couple questions:

1) Can an Onkyo 805 effectively push the 12's bi-amped? I've just heard some horror stories about these being power leeches.

2) I know these are last year's model, but does anyone know if the new series would be a better deal? ie, would going to the RTiA9's be worth the additional money?

3) Do you guys have any other suggestions for a pair of fronts around the $800-$1200 range? I've considered a couple of the Klipsch options, but no one around here has any kind of decent selection to listen to in person

Basically, all we have around here are Best Buy and Circuit City as far as decent home audio, so you see I have very few options for listening to anything in person besides the couple Martin-Logans and Def Tech that Best Buy has in their Magnolia room. Yes, i"m gonna match the center to whatever i decide to buy, but I'm primarily looking at the fronts for right now. I know i'm gonna eventually add an eD sub and I'm happy with the surrounds I have right now. I'd like to stay with Polk since I have always had good luck with them, but I'm not above changing my mind if properly motivated

The power hog 805 and power leech Rti12's should get along nicely
.

You'd have to make that decision.

Here's another option
