So I took my thumb drive of mp3s and created a ps4 folder which has a music folder inside with all the mp3s. Only the cover art shows. All mp3s are unplayable media. Any suggestions?

I've been having a problem with my PS4, with increasing frequency, where the PS4 wont load a disc. I'm not getting an error message and the system doesn't sound bad, but it just stays on the black screen with the spinning circle forever and I have to restart my PS4. The only time I truly get concerned though is that my PS4 doesn't actually restart straight away, it still holds on that screen for a few more seconds.

I'm getting this weird low beep every once in a while. research says it might be the eject situation. anyone have this happen? I have the rubber foot gone, and it's up on lego blocks at the edges to hold it up a bit. I save for a year to get this PS4 so I can't just get a new one or waste money sending it in. if it starts ejecting discs I don't know what i will do. I leave my discs in the systems, should I be taking them out every time I am done playing?

My second system has already been documented as having an especially noisy fan but now there's more issues. Seems to suddenly have a handshake issue from Standby. Doesn't matter what order I turn on my AV equipment. Seems to work fine from a cold boot. The power button also works intermittently. I had to pull the plug on the system to restart it one time after the controller because unresponsive.
I really hope they announce a better revision on or before e3. While absolutely hate to give them more money for their inability to make a quality system, I'd have a lot of money go to waste if I just chucked the system and said to hell with it. |

AT this point I would have rather paid $100 more for it if it worked correctly since I paid $60 for the 3 year warranty (which was worthless) and another $85 for service and shipping for somebody to reapply thermal paste (which also made no difference). I know it sounds like I have a lot of grief but I have to make it clear I very much enjoy the system and the games I have for it. It's just ridiculous that even with my SONY Gold's on that I can hear the fan. Last edited by dyne; 03-08-2016 at 02:58 PM. |

Hoping someone can help me here...
I paid for, downloaded, and installed the Battlefront Season pass. Played the Outer Rim DLC package last night without problem on my SECONDARY PS4. However, the Outer Rim says it is unavailable for my PRIMARY PS4. On the PRIMARY PS4 I have checked. It says it has downloaded and installed. I restored the licenses. I deactivated, then reactivated the PRIMARY access designation. Still, nothing. Any suggestions?? Thanks! |

I go and try to play a cd. How isn't this supported yet? I used to be able to rip my CDs right to my ps3 HDD. ![]() |

Like Mav pointed out the cost / load time ratio isn't there yet for maximum internal SSD storage anyway.
I overkilled that by putting this in it around the time Fallout 4 came out. http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-2-5-In...=sr_1_2&sr=8-2 At that price, I could of bought 2 brand new PS4's. Money aside, Yes there is a 33.3% increase in overall load time on most games. Games which require servers like Battlefront, Destiny etc, you are limited by their bandwidth which slows down the load time somewhat. I've clocked GTA V SP from game boot-up. In comparison to a standard HDD when the game loading display shows 50%, the game on SSD is playable. Fallout 4 cuts down fast travel load times (Doesn't matter where ya go on map) by roughly 12 seconds. The main problem with SSD with PS4 is the system does not support SATA III. (Up to 6GB/s) It supports SATA II at near 3GB/s. I think because of this, textures & draw distance absolutely do not load faster than a standard HDD. A very minor pro is SSD retains its memory. So you get a little extra space per MB of the drive. Example, a 2TB HDD will give you 1.77TB free space. An SSD @ 2TB will give you 1.81TB. SSD has a shelf life. Depending on which you have, 150TB writes & the drive is done for. So basically it is not meant for constant writes/re-writes especially when your dealing with 30-45GB games here & there. It's meant for read only. You have to be careful not to abuse the drive by installing & deleting frequently. So far I've yet to have issue with mine. I'm also used to the increase in load times so much so I'd have to swap in a standard HDD to tell the difference. |
