A sizzle reel of movies coming soon crosses the screen, starting with a Stephen King story starring McConaughey and Idris Elba: The Dark Tower. Lots of titles take the screen: Bad Boys III, Equalizer 2, MIB 23, The Girl Who Played With Fire, The Nightingale, Peter Rabbit, Zombieland 2, Insidious: The Next Chapter, Charlie's Angels, Flatliners, Barbie, Life, Rock That Body, Robotech, Jumanji, and Blade Runner.

Why do horror films screw up continuity and chronology so ruthlessly, Chapter 3 is a prequel so is the next chapter a follow up to the prequel? Or is it an actual third chapter following on from the second one?

Although, I thought the Insidious series was handled by Focus films, which is a branch of Universal?

The third was theatrically, but it was released on blu-ray from Sony like the other two.

I'd be down for one more if they finally call it quits, we need a Lipstick demon centric movie showing his return and possible backstory.

Was he always a demon? How'd he get so hairy? Stuff like that you know?

Writer, Director, and Release Date Announced.

Universal has just dropped a lot of information for the upcoming fourth entry in the James Wan-created Insidious franchise. Leigh Whanell, who directed the third film, has been confirmed as the writer and Adam Robitel, who directed the acclaimed The Taking of Deborah Logan will be helming the film, which is locked for an October 20th, 2017 release date. Jason Blum, Oren Peli, and James Wan are all acting as producers.

Confirmed to return is Lin Shaye, who will reprise her role as paranormal investigator Elise Rainer.

Last year, Whanell spoke to We Got This Covered, saying, “That whole area there where Elise has rediscovered her gift, I think you could have a lot of adventures before she arrives. So I think there is a lot of room there.”
