well, the copy of THE ROCK that's currently out there is a direct lift of the Criterion edition (supplements and all), so i have to scratch that one of the list...
plus, pretty sure they'll just do the same thing with Armageddon... so... INSOMNIA BRAZIL FEAR AND LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS DAZED AND CONFUSED CHASING AMY PEEPING TOM WITHNAIL & I MAN BITES DOG AU REVOIR, LES ENFANTS (with more supplements) WHITE DOG (saw this coming but wonder why not on Blu?) THE ICE STORM SPARTACUS MAGNIFICENT OBSESSION (just announced) from the old Criterion collection, if they can secure rights... SWITCHBLADE SISTERS |

I hope they re-create some of their special box art and packaging for blu-ray. The Dazed and Confused slip case was awesome, with the cut-out windows to see the pictures on the booklet underneath. And the clear plastic slip case for Fear and Loathing with the red text overlays was cool as well.
Sometimes it's the little things that make a title special. It would be a shame if they just stuck everything in bright blu plastic cases... |

I hope Criterion will release Robocop and Silence of the Lambs. We all know about the horrible job that Fox did on the Robocop Blu-ray, so there's a good chance that Silence of the Lambs will end up as bad. MGM needs to get someone who cares about the quality of their finished product to publish their Blu-rays.

Ive already got THE ROCK (kudos to Disney for importing all the Criterion features onto their Blu-Ray), and I'm going to exchange my THIRD MAN disc for the Blu-Ray of it.
The following are the Criterion titles I have already that I wouldn't mind upgrading. The ones in bold are the ones I REALLY want to see. Bicycle Thieves Brazil Chasing Amy Days of Heaven F for Fake Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas The Last Temptation of Christ Night on Earth The Royal Tenenbaums Stranger than Paradise As for ones I don't have that I wouldn't mind seeing on Blu, I'm generally open for anything. The ones I bolded I chose since they're the most visually dynamic of the bunch. Malick's, Scorsese's and Gilliam's films would benefit a 1080p transfer a lot more than a Jarmusch flick or an Italian neorealist film. But from the list of ones mentioned already, VIDEODROME, WITHNAIL AND I and SPARTACUS are ones I'd love to see. And the other Criterion Blu's I definitely want to check out. I never got BOTTLE ROCKET and THE MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH the first time around, so maybe the Blu-Ray will change my mind. And CHUNKING EXPRESS and EL NORTE I'd like to see fir the first time.
