their marketing is incredibly misleading, i immediately thought it was $299 for the 2tb version and a controller

they are going to confuse the crap out of consumers with different sku's

i will continue to wait on a price drop on this model

I'm buying it .. just a matter of which version at this point. Maybe the cheap model and order one of the custom controllers or an Elite.

While I think that means UHD Blu-ray support, it is still unclear. It could mean it supports UHD Video and it supports Blu-ray. In either case it will likely be clarified long before the system launches.

Nothing from MS is clear, they say it doesn't come with a controller in one video then it says every console comes with a controller in their press release.

The Microsoft press conference at E3 just ended. They didn't mention the drive at all. Strange.

Here is the intro video. It also mentions "4K Ultra HD video and blu-ray", but nothing specific.

But when all said and done, if it's really true, it plays back UHD BD for that price, and the upgraded PS4 doesn't support, then I'm in.

Now eagerly awaiting Sony's move.
