Synopsis:
THE FIRST KISS COULD BE YOUR LAST!

Two fraternity pledges head to a seedy part of town to find some entertainment for their college friends but are faced with bloodthirsty vampires!

Keith (Chris Makepeace, Meatballs) and AJ (Robert Rusler, A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge) want to make the right impression at college and so they devise a plan to get them into the best frathouse on campus. They head to the After Dark Club where they want to find a stripper for a party their friends won’t forget, instead they find themselves among vampires led by Kinky Katrina (Grace Jones, A View to a Kill)!

Almost certainly an influence on From Dusk til Dawn, Vamp is superbly designed by many of Grace Jones’ own award-winning collaborators and features stunning effects by four-time Oscar winner Greg Cannom (The Lost Boys, Bram Stoker’s Dracula). Delivering laughs and scares in equal measure, with the added bonus of vampy sex appeal, Vamp is a comedy horror romp with real bite!

One of my favorites. I guess I am a big enough sucker to re-buy this one again just for the new documentary. Shame the old Anchor Bay Commentary track couldn't be ported over.

Both. UK will have a seperate DVD release as well.

They released a Region Free Blu-ray years ago. I hope there's something new about this. Otherwise it's just a repackaging of a blu-ray I already own.

I just ordered the current UK one during the last sale. Oh well. This one drops many special features available on the previous Arrow release but also has a different audio commentary and a brand new documentary, so I'll probably wind up with both.

This edition is different from the UK. It has a new doc included, but it lacks the commentary, and a bunch of other extras too. Sounds like a downgrade to me. I suppose it's possible the new doc just combines the older featurettes into one, but that's not commn. I'd get the region free release while it's still available.

Sorry, I guess I confused it with my reading of the original release's specs. I probably won't order this then unless the documentary turns out to be amazing (like as good as the one on Synapse's "Street Trash" level of amazing).

Decided to import the old UK release for the commentary and wait and see if it's worth double dipping later on. I just don't want to not be able to score the old one at a reasonable price if I wait and see about this new release.

I have the UK edition, it's region-free, so I don't think that documentary is enough to tempt me. Even if it's a new master I don't think I care enough about this flick to bother.

Glad to see a US release though, since so many refuse to import even region-free titles. This is a solid flick for 80's horror fans.

I've had the UK disc this long and never knew it was actually region-free until today. Pretty much negates me picking up the US version, especially considering it's a downgrade extras-wise. Bit of an odd day for me with these announcements. I can't even muster up any joy for Dark Water
