We just got confirmation for our territory (Slovakia/Czech republic) that Salem's Lot (along with It) will be released here at the end of September as well so I am sure these two releases haven't been cancelled (by the way, listings say 187 min for It and 183 min for Salem's Lot)

I recorded Salem's Lot from television in the early '80's and it runs 210 min.

I see there is also a Japanese release in October, it says it is the 'Full Version'
I presume it is the same as the German release. It works out as about €20 inc shipping to Ireland, ill have to wait to see how much the German release is going for.
Hopefully if any UK labels are planning on releasing this they will give everyone a heads up before we all drop money on German and Japanese releases.

I am very wary of Japanese blu ray releases before I am able to see a review. I made the mistake of ordering the Japanese blu ray of the 1980 horror film "The Changeling" and it was complete and utter garbage. I think it would be a better bet to wait until the German listing goes back up and order from Amazon.de.

It's a Warner Brothers release so it'll be the same exact disc throughout the world.

If this doesn't get an American release, I can't see it getting a Japanese one (or a release anywhere else), but it's early days, Warner could still announce it.

'Salem's Lot' has been rated by the FSK in Germany in the meantime (04.08.2016) and is cosidered 'suitable for persons of 16 years age or older'. (Version is listet as 183.09 Min.@24fps, 175:49 Min.@25fps).

And it is back up for preorder at amazon.de with the same release date as 'Stephen King's IT' - 22.09.2016.

Wish I could figure out what's going on with this. Preorder came back up,then disappeared again. I ordered mine in July, but after emailing amazon.de several times, they only replied once with the standard reply of 'stock issues'

It's back up now. I think (hope) it will be released without problems.

That listing has been up and down more times than a ho in a cucumber patch.

I have it pre-ordered. Let's hope it stays put this time.

With still no hint of an American release of Salem's Lot, I'll only believe these other releases when they actually happen. I hope they do, I'll buy the German release.

Because the international branches of Warner have never, ever released titles prior to Warner US getting off their arses...?

Yup, I can't think of any exceptions (except bootlegs), I hope it happens, but I wouldn't bet money on it.

Ah good, so there's hope. If Europe get this & there's no sign of a US release, there's going to be some angry posts on the American thread (esp. with the great price in Europe).
