Did not see it, was a very big fan of the Simpsons for a long time but the last few years, the seasons have been weaker and weaker. They should have stop about 5 or 6 years ago I think

I watched it. Although it wasn't as "horror" intense as other is the past, I still found it to be rather funny. I laughed out loud more than a few times so I consider that to be a pretty good episode. Just my opinion though.

I saw it and thought it was really funny.
[Show spoiler] I especially liked the parody of the Peanuts Halloween movie.

Not sure if I need to do the spoiler, but just to be safe.

I enjoyed it as well, I found the Peanuts parody really spot on and enjoyed the different animation for it (colours and textures).

I really agree. I thought it was funny and the show is still going stronge. I had not watched Simpsons in a long time then the movie came out and I got back into it. I think its funnier now than it ever was. Maybe I just get the jokes more now than I did in the past.

Keep rockin' it Simpsons!!

And yet, there are people who say that Family Guy is a copy of the Simpsons. How ironic.

I haven't seen this years Treehouse of Horror (yet), but I thought that last years was the weakest I have seen. I just didn't have a feel for it.

I thought the Transformers parody was weak and didn't really belong in the Halloween special. The other 2 stories were decent though, especially the Peanuts one. That one was damn near perfect. Yeah, The Simpsons aren't as great as they once were, but it's still an entertaining show. It just feels overly familiar and formulaic these days. What can you expect after 20 years though?

as for the family guy like the simpsons.. i dont agree with that... family guy has always been about walking the fine line of what they can get away with on TV... and making fun of celebrities etc... Simpsons wasnt really about that until recently ive noticed

I don't think they can ever really "ruin" it. It's just that those who have been there from the beginning remember how edgy and witty it used to be. The show does still have stand out episodes from time to time, just not anywhere near as consistent as it used to be. Like I said earlier, I think the Great Pumpkin parody last night was great (if a bit similar to the parody from Robot Chicken). At this point, I think The Simpsons is going to continue until they lose a primary cast member. That's when it'll end.

yea, i liked the great pumpkin parody... but idk... for some reason it just didnt feel like the simpsons to me... felt more like a family guy episode, cuz it was a little weird and just a different type of comedy....

Thought it was so-so until the Peanuts spoof, which saved the episode. "All pumpkins are racist, I'm just honest about it," was line of the night for me.

I concur. The Simpsons are getting less and less interesting. But it nonetheless remains a classic of TV and I wouldn't miss it. Haven't seen it yet. But I will soon.
