Default ZULU ... Region Free, but still PAL format

After the superb review elsewhere on this site I am confused that the Blu Ray ZULU is listed as Region Free, but is still in PAL format which makes it impossible to play on any U.S. player with the exception of a PS3.

Am I not correct in this assumption? Thanks for your answer!

No you're not correct. The BD is region-free and the SD extras are in NTSC. You won't have any problems with a US player.

If the transfert is 1080p there's no such thing as PAL. Where it can happen is when it's a Euro 1080i 50hz

In that case the US PS3 will crash right away. I know there's shows like this, but movie i don't know
