Onkyo SR502, time to upgrade?? - Blu-ray Forum

Due to the horrible shape of my room i will only ever use 5.1, do you think it is worth me upgrading my receiver? will i benefit a lot by upgrading and what model do you recommend on a pretty tight budget ($300-400)?

You can get a good receiver in that range.

and i would notice a difference?

I am kinda getting bored with my setup i have 5 small polk speakers and no subwoofer.

i guess i am wondering if i should bother to upgrade or just buy a subwoofer and stick with my receiver.
