Tower Shipping Wall-E Today 11-11

Pre-ordered Wall-E last night at Tower (3 disc $22.86), got an email this evening stating:
"We wanted you to be the first to know!

Your item, Wall-E (Blu-Ray) / Fred Willard (voice), Jeff Garlin (voice) and Andrew Stanton (director), has just shipped from our distribution center and is on its way to you RIGHT NOW!"

That's a week ahead of release date???

going thru the "you said my movie shipped last week and its not here and now you say it didnt really ship but I got an email said it did so I want to know where its at and i want my 2-day shipping refunded now even tho you say it takes 2 weeks to get it in my account I dont want to wait gimme, gimme, gimme something right now and iam not ordering from you anymore even tho I said that last time after the Iron Man screw-up and now Iam really going back to amazon because now I think I really do hate you Tower.com" debacle ...............

tower.com has a lot of haters now after the iron man debacle from a little while back. i never had any issues with them on my iron man order, i got mine a week early and have ordered from them since then and have not had any problems!

The problem stems from them sending out emails saying iron man had shipped when they indeed did not ship out 98% of the orders to the customers. which was okay because they were not suppose to because it was before the street release date, but it still angered many hundreds of people

And subsuquently Tower cancelled everyone's orders, and only refunded the price of the Blu, and not the shipping, and instead had to be contacted to get the shipping funds refunded that were already owed.

I oredered from Tower a lot, and for me it didnt have jack to do with not getting it early, I just felt they mishandled that whole episode, and a tad dishonestly to boot.

Tower is fine just don't believe that your item has shipped when you get the email shipped confirmation.

Myself and other have bought discs from them and for some reason, they seem to send a shipped confirmation email sooner than they really ship it.

In most cases, the disc really doesn't ship for several more days AFTER the shipped email confirmation.
They may do this to retrieve payment for the title prior to shipping.

You are definitely right here.
I think they are not honest in shipping and charging. Basically it's not a good idea to deal with dishonest people.

i guess i just get lucky with them??? i have ordered over 20 movies from them and have never had a problem. Have even received movies before release date. to each his own i guess. i will continue to give them my business though
