got my copy today. came package with a slipcover on 3 bluray disc in a slim planet earth size case with digital copy code to download the itunes or wm version on the wb site. pictures take with sony dsc-t9 at night in a room with florescent light.

PQ - 4.5/5

birate is all over the place, usually 10-20 mpbs. kinda grainy. i would say for most of the episodes it's a 4.5/5 but some of the night scenes will look bad (4/5) and a couple will look like demo material (5/5).

AQ - 3.5/5

as expected from warner, dolby digital 5.1 ch. 48 khz 640 kbps. volume seems kinda low and there isn't really any bass. i had to turn my receiver up kinda high to hear the sound effects and such or maybe it's my receiver (a low end sony home theater system). at least the dialogue is clear.

Supplements - na

i didn't get to check this out yet.

they load fine for me, check your connection. also if you want to demo this show to your friends, episode 2 is a great demo material episode (PQ wise). definitely 5/5.

Why can't they start them at season one?? I'm not getting it until seasons one and two come out.

That's one thing that really pisses me off with tv shows on blu, almost none of them have the first few seasons, with Smallville they started on Season 6, with Supernatural I own the first 2 on Standard and that just sucks, why not release shows from the beginning, instead of always from the middle?

If people skip on buying this season the earlier seasons are guaranteed to never come out on Blu-ray.

i just picked this up on the weekend. I'm not tech-savvy with all the terms yet, but the "Ghostfacers" episode was solid. It seems difficult to pull off a great HD picture in the dark, but this one performed well. can't wait to watch the rest of the season in HD.

I watch it upscaled. Have the feeling it'd be demo worthy in Blu.

I got Supernatural 3 a few days ago. I ended up paying like $36 I think. Got this during one of the last amazon 3 for 2 price mistake sales.

I got this even though it doesn't have an uncompressed track. The picture is very good. The sound is better than a standard dvd I suppose. It's good enough. The story and characters are what drive Supernatural. The stories are very good with the limited budget the show has. The characters are great. You don't have to be a teenager to appreciate this show. I really like the chemistry between the brothers. They both are growing in their roles. I suppose they bring a lot of charisma to the show and stories. You find you watching the show because of that amazing amount of charisma and presence they bring to each episode. Episodes would be dull if played by other actors. In my opinion, most of the jokes work. I'm laughing during most of the episodes.

I'm glad I bought this on blu. Supernatural is a classic tv show I'm watching and re-watching. The picture is high def in my opinion. The sound is good enough. I suppose I'm most happy with the price I paid. I got it cheaper than the dvd.

I can't wait till Ghost Whisperer, Medium, and Numbers are all on blu-ray. I do wish they would use an uncompressed track. Regardless I'd still buy them all on blu. But it's hard to go back to standard dvd after watching blu-rays.

Something I thought as I was watching season 3. I think they should bring Supernatural to the big screen. Give it a good budget, a great story with all the laughs and chills. I think people would come out to see this at the movies.

I love the "fake names" they give themselves. haven't they been busted twice? i can't remember which episode it was...
dean: i'm detective john bonham
random dude: isn't that the drummer for...
dean: i don't know what you're talking about

bwahaha and pretty sure someone else called them out on their rocker names.

love the soundtrack, especially love the way they do the first episodes of season 2 and season 3, the flashbacks are outstanding with great songs

When I read "Witch's Canyon" I felt it had a very cinematic feel. With some editing it could be the foundation of a Supernatural movie.

Hahaha yeah I'm pretty sure it was the episode in season 1 with the scarecrow in that small town. This show is fun, but I only originally watched because i really liked the relationship Sam and Dean have and their evolving storylines. Most of the villains until the last 2 seasons where always weak but their storylines kept me interested the entire time, but I am loving season 4 more and more every week. Just ordered season 3 for $41 on that 25% off amazon sale.

I thought Supernatural looked and sounded good but not as good as say Lost. If Warner put as much effort as Disney does they would have more respect from the fans.

I dont mind it not having a theatrical big budget version. Its almost like a mini horror movie each week.

I thought it was pretty cool that they offered the free digital copy with the set. The digital copy looks like crap, but it was still nice to have in case I am stuck at the airport and want to watch a few episodes on my iPhone.

This is a nice set and the PQ/AQ is pretty darn good. It doesn't have nearly the budget of Lost.

Man, those pics are HUGE.
