Default Quality of Olevia's tvs

Has anyone on this forum seen an Olevia hdtv, or owned one. Right now, they are going for $550 for a 32 inch 720p at circuit city, which is much lower than the other name brands (samsung, toshiba, sony).

Just wondering is this brand was pretty good. Obviously, it will not be as good of a picture as a $1100 sony model, but I'm just wondering if it's a good start. I'm looking to hook it up to a PS3 to watch blu ray movies so that's my main concern as far as the picture goes.

Any input would be appreciated.

cheers,

I have had one for awhile. I have the 37". I use it as a pc monitor and it is GREAT! Max resolution is 1366x768 so no 1080p but 1080i looks good and is rock solid. I have had it on constantly for over a year and a half and works great. It was even struck by lightning and STILL works! I will say the lightning got the pc and a set of speakers and fried the speakers on the tv but it still works perfectly.

I just got a Westinghouse 37" 1080p monitor from Costco.com for $799 and it is amazing. It doesn't have a tuner but I use a cable box anyway. For the price, you can't go wrong.

I agree with Buckshot. I have the Vizio VX32L and it looks fabulous. Plus, it's 1080i with 2x HDMI inputs.

PQ is GREAT for the price range--$499-$599.
