Default Bought a Panasonic TH-42PZ80U, Help Optimizing?

After a few years with a rear projection LCD 50" Toshiba with max resolution of 1080i, I decided to upgrade (well, in terms of quality, I downgraded in size) to a Panasonic TH-42PZ80U 42" 1080p plasma. Right of of the box I'm already blown away by the quality. The factory settings already beat the crap out of my old Toshiba.

Im wondering if anyone has advise for optimizing this model, or what tools are best for doing it. I consider myself pretty tech savvy, but not a tech uber genius. Maybe a Masters in tech, but Im not working on my PhD yet

If anyone else has the model or similar, I'd love to hear how you've tweaked it.

You can get Avia or DVE and adjust your settings per their instructions. This will give you the "best" picture for your viewing environment. You can start out with settings others use, but they may not be best for you. TweakTV list settings for a wide variety of sets, if you want to check them out. They don't list the PZ80, so I linked the PZ85.

For the absolute best picture, though, nothing beats a professional ISF calibration, but expect to pay $300-400 for the service.
