Default looking for receiver to meet requirements

i'm looking for a receiver to meet certain requirements, but i'm having trouble. i hope someone here knows of one that has the following:
- minumum 5.1
- minumum 2 optical inputs
- minumum 1 digital coaxial input
- maximum 5.5 inches in height

and preferably:
- 2x HDMI inputs with 1080p passthru, or 3rd optical
- not tons expensive

a Sony STRDG710 would be fine, except its too high.
i know there's a tons of receivers out there with all the inputs/outputs anyone would need for decent prices, but is it too tall of an order for one that isn't a fatty?
any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm using the STR-DG510 and it's working. Apparently it's only supposed to passthrough 1080i, but I haven't had any issues with it. I think since it's passthrough it wouldn't be down converting 1080p to 1080i.

Why not get the onkyo 605? Then you can get true hd!

I was thinking about buying the 605. Do you know if you need an HDMI 1.3 cable for the true hd, or will any HDMI cable work.

i realize there's alot of great receivers out there, but my big limitation is size. i've only got 5.5" to play with, and i really don't want to purchase a different TV stand just to get an inch more space.

Any HDMI cable will work.

I believe you're illogically limiting your sonic enjoyment due to a TV stand. "It sounds great and has great features but it won't fit in my TV stand."

For now, I'd suggest the 605 as it has TrueHD and DTS HDMA decoding and it is cheap for its feature set; the caveat is that so far none of the BD players can decode those streams yet.

if it lists the specs as 1080i passthrough that is the max bandwidth it can handle...

You say 5.5" is all you have to work with..... does this leave you any room for the thing to breath????
