Requirements to be an official reviewer? - Blu-ray Forum

What do you guys look for in an official reviewer for the site? Theres alot of movies out there that people may own that they can make full on reviews for that the staff may not have time to get to.

I remember back when they were hiring, the requirements were mainly technical - had to have a 1080p TV, able to enjoy the HD sound codecs...7.1...an excellent setup is what you had to have from a resources standpoint, and then offer up a practice review you wrote with great details, grammar, syntax, and analysis.

I believe that Ben is in charge of the Review Section, and he could probably provide an answer. Iceman, obviously, makes the decisions. I think that they have plenty of reviewers. For instance, I believe Deci is very good, and he has not been reviewing many films.

It would be nice, and I think we have seen a good influx of reviews lately. It's some of the high profile stuff that doesn't get reviewed that suprises me, like The Incredible Hulk or Hellboy 2.

That is true. Those films should be reviewed before the release date.
