Default Most Shocking Blu-ray

Which Blu-Ray has just shocked you with how good it looks, sounds or whatever else may have shocked you.

Bonnie and Clyde PQ blew me away, and so did Faces Of Death (although that looked too good ) and the audio on Sleeping Beauty was stellar!!

T2 (not great, but better than people say) and Batman Begins was stunning and people don't give it enough credit, near flawless presentation.

For me is was Baraka. I've watched it about 4 times already and the PQ and AQ are stellar. This movie has a mesmerizing effect on me for some reason.

The other disc that I think is phenomenal is Legends of Jazz with Ramsey Lewis: Showcase. Again PQ/AQ are stellar and the performances are top-notch. If you're not a jazz fan, you may just become one after seeing this concert.

And for pure entertainment value I think Ratatouile is amazing. Great story and again stellar PQ/AQ.

Though brief...I think POLAR EXPRESS 3D has some brilliant moments.

I normally don't expect much from older movies so Patton, Blade Runner, 2001, Halloween, The Thing, Dr. No and From Russia with Love shocked me with how good they looked. I'm sure I'm missing some but those were the first to come to mind.

The Land of the Dead shocked me sound-wise. I thought it sounded great and considering the genre, didn't expect much from it.

I had heard good things about the AV quality of The Incredible Hulk movie, but I was not expecting it to be as good as it is! Way better than the cinema screenings in my area, no doubt.

Cool

T2 shocked me. There were so many dismal ratings I looked at when I was considering the purchase. Fortunately, I was able to get the movie for $1.50, so it made it really easy to purchase it. Seriously, the BD is the best I've ever seen T2 look, and the DTS track, albeit not HD, is quite good.

Yeah, in this same vein, Commando got torched from everything I heard. It's still an old favorite of mine, and when I was able to get it for under 10, I went for it. Braced for the worst, and was really suprised. Low expectations and a love for the movie certainly didnt hurt, but I was really pleased. It's a big jump from the dvd I had.

Mad Men Season 1. Right out of the gate I was at the PQ. As I continued to watch, expecting it to trail off, it never did and I remained at how much detail there was. Awesome.

Sunshine. Never made it way to a theater near me. I read so much good about the flick and PQ. My first blind buy. Movie SUCKED and the PQ was eh...
