Its not as good but if you like the first, i dont think you will be distraught. I didnt buy the first on day 1 and will wait until this drops to the $10 range.

I noticed at Best Buy that multiple versions of this came with an exclusive "Illustrated Short Story". Is that all retailers or an additional BB exclusive?

The 4K Steelbook does not include this graphic novel/short story. At least there isn't one in mine.

I saw the 2D steelbook certainly did, but I didn't look at the 4K steelbook. I edited my post since I may be wrong. Still curious if this is a retailer exclusive or not though.

Tyrok said already that none of the 4K combos or Steelbooks would come with the storybook. Just the BD combos and Steelbooks. I dunno if they're BB-exclusive, though.

Picked up the regular steelbook at Best Buy today , looks pretty nice it comes a booklet behind it , don't mind it since the booklet will protect the steel from the back side

I purchased JR Never Go Back at Target today at it comes with the short story booklet. I guess BR.com never got that info.

I received the 4K steelbook in the mail yesterday and it didn't have a booklet. Was this something exclusive to the BD only?

I got the VHS version, and it came with a lenticular cover, a 357 Magnum, and free movie passes for any Paramount movie

FWIW, I can confirm the 4K version (and 4K SB) does not come with the short story booklet. Only the standard BD/DVD combo pack (and BD SB) comes with the booklet, and it's not a retailer exclusive.

There we go. But since that wasn't posted in this thread, many of us were unaware as we made our purchase today (not that it would have dissuaded me from the Steelbook).

Yeah I still don't get why 4K purchasers weren't worthy of the booklet. We're paying the most, especially if we're getting the Steelbook, but I guess getting the booklet is too much for us. Oh well.
