Given Gibson's age, it's a little reminiscent of the spate of 'geriatric' action movies we've seen in recent years from the likes of Neeson and Penn. However, I'd say this has got more lofty ambitions, with a bit more of an indie/arthouse vibe. Plus, there's no denying Gibson's amazing screen presence, which shines so powerfully it's almost embarrassing that he's been largely absent as an actor for so long. Desk |

Gibson's pretty much the only thing holding up this otherwise very DTV-ish venture (and even those in recent years have been better thanks to folks like Isaac Florentine and John Hyams). The script is predictable and contrived, action is badly shot and dialog is pedestrian. It's no Get The Gringo, that's for sure, but yeah Gibson as star has a lot more charisma and life to him than a Liam Neeson or a Clint Eastwood.

Watched this last night and thought it was awesome. Gibson was absolutely terrific, incredible, so great to see him back in a movie like this. Loved the story and performances and the cinematography was stunning.
