Figures the one Terminator movie I really couldn't care less about hits UHD first. Hopefully it does get the ball rolling for the studios with the rights to the other ones to get those released soon.

Never has there been a clearer example of me liking one half of a movie (the first in this case) and disliking the other than this film. I might pick it up to give it another chance when it is sub-$20.

Same here, I dunno if it's the entire first half but at least the first 45 minutes or so had me scratching my head as to why the reviews were so bad.

But by the end of the movie, I knew why.

I really enjoyed this movie, and I hate that it flopped here in the US. I will be picking it up on UHD if it comes out.

Paramount is probably seeing T2: 3D as a way to cross-promote Genysis. The classic two from Fox/MGM and Lionsgate will probably be out on UHD around the same time as this turkey.

Warner will probably have re-mastered T3 & Salvation as well unless they don't think they're worth their time.

With The Terminator already receiving a 4k restoration, it's less work for Fox/MGM to prep a new HDR master.

We'll see if The Abyss, Aliens, and Titanic get nice UHD disc releases as well, but given that those and the first Terminator movies have to be approved by Cameron it'll be interesting if he lets them out in 4k all at once.

I enjoyed it as well. Was actually much better than I thought it might be. Still not a great movie but it sure is fun and considers the original canon quite well.

This movie isn't the best in the series, but I do find it has a lot of repeatable viewings because of the first part.

I tried to like this movie but I just couldn't, not in the theater and not after 4 times watching it at home. Only thing that I enjoyed is Clarke's presence.

Once again my biggest problem with this movie is its humor, or rather the attempt at humor. Why is it that alot of recent Hollywood movies try so hard to be funny but ultimately achieve the complete opposite?

Same goes for TFA and Rogue One for example, the humor kind of ruined those movies for me. White House Down? Did not like it, Olympus Has Fallen on the other hand was great. Battleship? Did not like it but I loved Battle: Los Angeles. I wish we could have a more serious tone to movies and less tongue in cheek rubbish...

OT: this will be an easy pass for me.

I know it seems silly, but it's a modern film that would translate well onto the format. That's basically what they're going for here. They want to sell their demo material up front, basically. That's what it amounts to. Thankfully we've also seen some popular catalog stuff pop up, and much more will be coming later in the year.

I had some minor fun with this but it's nowhere near good enough to upgrade. Maybe for $5 someday, assuming UHDs ever go that low.

I already have the 3D/BD combo, and this only had a 2K DI, so I honestly don't see the point.

I wish studios would focus on releasing titles for which there's already an existing 4K DI, and in the meantime they could work on creating more for future release. Where's my Fifth Element UHD, dammit?
