Default Panasonic TH-42PZ80U vs. Samsung LN40A500

I see 6th ave has these both in their black friday presale for about the same price and wanted to know which one is better. I plan on using it mostly for watching blurays with my ps3 and games on xbox 360. I dont really care too much about the 2" size difference, i just want to know which one overall is best. Thanks!

I am going to have to say the 42PZ80U. Having actually considered the samsung and owning the Costco equivalent of the 42pz80u, the black levels and picture clarity of the Plasma is definitely superior.

Circuit City will also have the Panasonic on Friday for $899. A little more expensive, and you'd have to pay tax. But...you get it with no worries about shipping damage or shady vendors.

Wow! Sweet deal, Crack. Does this mean you'll actually post some pics of your setup in the HT Gallery?
