ok, i'm curious. i'm not trying to bash at all, just trying to understand. what's the big deal about steelbooks? i don't understand why someone would pay so much money on a movie with a different looking case. or is there something special that comes with steelbooks?

this is an awesome movie, i bought it for 15 bucks brand new. can't see paying 70

No, it's just a cover. People pay big money to collect these things just like other people who collect Pez dispensers.

Most of them are not so expensive. You can pickup many Blu-ray SteelBooks from Germany for $30-40 each if you order in bunch (flat 14 Euro shipping). That's why lot of folks are doing group buys to save on shipping.

The Pez dispensers thing made me laugh so hard... and also brought back fond memories of my boyhood. Thank you for that, Xradman!

How bummed would you be if you spent $70 and the PQ was sub-standard like the existing releases?!

Yup. Most collectors do not collect Pez dispensers for the candy.

Is there a list of the extras in english?

What's the difference between this and the lower priced one?

Apparently the cheaper one is only the "Special Edition" which is the Extended Cut, whereas the PE has both versions.

I don't have any info on extras at hand, although Amazon.co.jp has a garbled English version when translated.

That's primarily what I care about. To be honest, I don't really care about having the theatrical cut. I just want to be able to get rid of my DVD's.

Plus I want to know if there are english language menus. I hate Japanese discs where I don't know what's on them.
