I can't wait until it comes out on Blu-ray. I had it on HD-DVD and can vouch that it looks great in high def. Anyway...

I need to see this movie, every one that I know keeps telling me i should see it. It's one of those movie that I always forget about once I get to the video store.

This is one of my all time favorites, but from what I understand, the HD-DVD version left a lot to be desired so Universal may be waiting for a remaster to be completed before they put this out. But I will definitely get it the day it comes out.

It's dated, imo. Can't say I never saw the appeal, but I'll watch it every few years and it loses a fraction of a star. Used to be 5/5 but now 4/5.

I bought it and haven't watched it yet. I fear its one of those movies that people loved when it came out, but still love it because they loved it then and nostalgia allows its flaws and the dated aspects to be overlooked. Kind of how I feel about Groundhog Day.

Saw this for the first time a year or two ago and it was hilarious and has held up great. it's a classic.

This is one of those films (like Fargo) which gets funnier every viewing. When I first saw it I didn't care too much for it, but after seeing it multiple times it definitely grew on me

Been a huge fan of The Big Lebowski since 2001, when someone recommended the film to me. Truly hilarious & brilliant from beginning to end; at this point it's probably my #1 comedy film of all time. And, it's also my favorite Coen Bros.'s film.

It's interesting that it didn't do well theatrically when it was first released in 1998, but has gotten such a cult following since that time.

Especially liked the opening, when the Dude is going shopping in his bathrobe & slippers, opens some milk to make sure it's not spoiled, and writes a check for .76?! cents

What's also interesting about the film is that the hilarious & awkward scene when the Dude & Walter (Goodman) confront that kid about stealing The Dude's car is actually based on a true story:
