Import? - Blu-ray Forum

I was browsing the upcoming releases on this website and noticed (import) on a lot of chinese movies I may be interested in. I know they have flags like Japan and Canada to represent that it is going to be released there but what does import mean? Is it coming to US and will store carry them?

It means you have to import it from another country to watch it.

Yea, it won't be sold in the U.S, but you could purchase it from China and have it sent here.

You know, I noticed that Amazon.com has stocked alot of import titles recently. Has anyone actually ordered one? I was thinking of picking up Taegukgi.

Ya I was wondering a similar thing. I noticed that Children of Men is going to be released on Blu-ray soon(one of my favorite movies) but its an import, I couldn't find out what country it is beign released too but amazon has it for pre-order. So I'm thinking I'll buy it but is their anything I need to know about buying imported Blu's?

Amazon Imports are imports for beginers. they import it for you. But not all imports are availalbe via amazon in which case you can find lots of information about releases and places to buy from this forum and HDD using the search function.

With regards to Children of Men it was a nordic release I bought my copy last year from axel music
