I'm wondering, for this restoration, are they going to use various prints made of the film or are they going to actually restore the original camera negative?

I suppose they should have said not available on Region 1 DVD. And unfortunately as you probably know. Region free players are much more difficult to come by in the United States than in other parts of the world.

Excellent news! I just recorded it onto a recordable dvd off of Turner Classic Movies for the time being till the blu comes out, I'm sure Paramount will do this classic justice. Can hardly wait. BLU RULES!!!
