Can't name all the times I had to return a Bluray or DVD that was supposed to come with digital copy and didnt. Only in the end, buying a digital code from an aftermarket seller. I'm into digital, not physical media. The only time retailers are selling me physical media - when it includes a digital code. The media companies themselves are undermining their own legitimate sales with the half-assed effort they make digital copies available on releases that come with digital. For example, I bought Rick and Morty season 2 bluray four or five times from walmart with digital copy. Not once did it come with the ultraviolet digital copy. I finally gave up on buying it from walmart and bought a digital copy in the aftermarket. Did they lose a legitimate sale there?

vudu costs for series are generally higher than buying the bluray+digital. for example, season 3 of flash on vudu is 45 dollars whereas you'll be able to buy the bluray + digital for 15-25 dollars.
