Default Sony KDL-46XBR6 vs. Samsung- LN40A750

Im going to be upgrading my T.V. this holiday season and am turning to the blu-ray forums because Im stuck between these two choices.

I plan on using the television for SD cable and blu-ray movies via my PS3...

I also intend to make use of over the air HD channels...

Any help or suggestions would be useful! Or if anyone knows of other television of equal or lesser value that would be a better choice please let me know!

thanks!

Any reason why you would choose the Samsung over the Sony? Besides price of course

well no real reason other than it was a good price for the samsung.

Also, someone correct me if im wrong. But doesn't Samsung make the panels for Sony anyway?

either way you would love your pick, im sure theyre both nice.

Because we have Metrocast in my area and they're already charging me too much as it is for one cable box in my house.

yes it is true.

I would say that the Smasung and Sony spec wise are the same but Samsung just has it for cheaper and thats why you should go with the 650 or 750 over the Sony

Personally, for the money, Samsungs in general are a much better value. That is a great price for that TV.
