Good. That would've gotten me into the theater to see this if it was offered in 3D in the US too.
Does the story go beyond racing and collecting cars I'm guessing? I like car chase movies, but am wondering what all of these characters are fighting for in this series beyond acquiring and transporting cars.
Hopefully there's more to it, but I haven't been following the series. The action looks entertaining anyway. I imagine the 3D version will be fun to watch.

No 3D showings in the UK that I can see anyway. It doesn't bother me as I wasn't going to watch this theatrically anyway.

So this (Part 8) is more of a wider release in 3D world wide than 7 was ? there is hope at least part 8 will end up on bluray somewhere.

I was right. My theater has 3D and 2D fro The Fate Of The Furious.

I know it's a bit small, but you can still see it.

I found a review where someone liked the IMAX 3D.

Quote:
The Fate of the Furious features some pulse-pumping action, which – in the end – was perhaps what these movies were always going to be remembered for. IMAX 3D makes the car chases pop on screen with cinematography being well done as well. The PG-13 rating does dampen the close-combat sequences, limiting the outstanding prison scenes shown in the trailers.

Should be able to see it in 3D soon.

Hopefully this week.

Also, according to IMDB, 31 people were involved with the conversion.
May not be a lot, but for an international release only, not bad.
Who knows, more may be involved.

Seeing it in IMAX 3D tomorrow (only way to see 3D version).

Would've seen it earlier, but the reviews put me off a bit. With Guardians opening on Monday here, it'll be my last shot to see it in 3D, and with what I've read about the action, hopefully the 3D is good!

Did I even watch a 3D film lol? Best 3D was the PotC and GotG trailers.

I think it had about a handful or so effective 3D shots, and hardly any depth. Pretty sad, as this franchise is perfect for bombastic 3D action.

Ach that's a shame, thanks for the info though. I was hoping it would be better than a weak Chinese conversion as they were releasing it in several countries but I guess they put little effort in. What other 3D movies would you compare it to?

Just saw this today. Yet it is only showing in 2D around here. There were a few good shots that would have looked great in some good 3D,yet from what others have said, sounds pretty weak. If it had good 3D I wouldn't have minded importing it.

As far as the movie,it was well worth it.

So the 3D sounds weak/mild then, thanks for the heads up. Star Trek Beyond's 3D was one of the most disappointing 3D examples of 2016 IMO after Star Trek Into Darkness set the 3D bar much higher than Beyond.

Is this the best one in the series so far? Which one was your favorite if you could only pick one?

Yeah, I know what shots you're talking about
[Show spoiler]When Dom crashes his random cousin's car and it goes flying, falling cars sequence, grapple hooks, missiles, tank gun, Shaw brothers flying into the plane.
They were the best 3D scenes but could've been better if they actually pushed the 3D from the start.

Sadly, I agree with Breakspear. The 3D is mild with few medium shots.

Not much difference, people.

Thanks Creed. Sorry to hear mostly mild 3D here. Did you spot who converted it?
I don't feel bad not having the opportunity to see this in 3D then. That would've gotten me into the theater to see this but only if it was medium to strong 3D.

No because I had to leave. Why can't they just convert it for the US and international territories? At least a little more effort will be nice. Also, I took off my glasses and at times, there's no difference or ghosting that I could watch some of it without the glasses.
