Probably the 2000s or '10s, because I'll buy ANY half-decent contemporary movie on Blu if it's cheap enough.

Not having most of my collection logged on this site I'd guess: 2010s would be highest, I pick up a lot of New Release films, then in terms of the older decades I would guess 1980s.

I do have a lot of 2000's... Some of it is because most of the decent movies from that decade are pretty cheap to get.

The current decade is by far the most heavily-represented in my Blu-ray collection, at least on an per-year average basis.

Some would say that I have a glaring hole in my collection from the 1970s on back, but that's OK. I have a lot of older films on DVD and even Laserdisc, but I've already upgraded almost all the films already in my collection that I would care to.

This is the first time I have looked at statistics about my collection.

I was sure the 1980s would be the bulk of my collection, but it didn't even make the top 3!

The interesting thing is that my collection runs in exact reverse order by decade, with 2010s being at the top (11.4%).

Top 3:
1. 1980s
2. 1990s
3. 1970s

No surprise these were my formative years

1970's, although, 72.8% of my total collection is from the 50s-80s:

Other than documentaries, trailer comps, Mad Men/Walking Dead seasons, and a few 3-D titles (which I wouldn't have purchased if they were 2-D only), the only films I have from this decade are Tree of Life, The Innkeepers, Skyfall (part of the Bond box), and my unopened We are the Flesh, part of my Gold Back subscription.

I've barely got anything from the 2000s either! I'm a 20th Century Boy.

Wow. The 2000's and 2010's are def the minority in my collection. You def need to step up your 1910's game.

Looks like 2010s wins for me.

I think the TV collections push the decade kind of high.

Interesting point. I suppose another question would be "Which decade do you wish the majority of your collection was from?"

Older films are more expensive and go OOP mush easier/quicker. Most newer movies are def easier and cheaper to collect. Creates an anomaly.

72.3% of my collection comes from 1950s through the 1980s.

I own quite a few 2010s movies, though, because I love the Marvel films, and various other present-day cinematic gems (La La Land, Green Room, The Witch, Mad Max: Fury Road, etc.). As much as I like to bust on present-day, there are quite a few films from this decade that do not suck.

(Judging from your taste in cinema, I'd be interested to see what you think of Green Room.)

Funnily enough, I own more films from the 2010s than I do from the 1990s or 2000s.

Not a fan of Marvel, DC, etc. myself but a lot of indies and foreign films help keep my post 90s collection robust.
