United Kingdom The Dark Knight Blu-ray UK Version

Hi, can anyone tell me if there is any difference between the UK and US version of The Dark Knight Blu-ray? except for the artwork?

Since most of Warner's BDs are region-free up to now, and TDK is supposed to be, I don't think there will be any difference between the US and UK Blu-ray discs. The special feature specs look exactly the same too.

The UK and Australian versions do no have BD-Live nor the digital copy. Apart from that they appear the same.

Does the UK one have German writing or something on the disk like the Aussie one?

Yeah, I was thinking of putting my Rambo digital copy to my iPod just to see how it works...

And yes, Man Bites Dog is an awesome movie! Sadly it's postponed as you say. Let's hope it is because they decided to include English subs...

What are you basing your comment on about the absence of BD-L and DC please?

I mean what is the factual basis for your statement please. At least according to BluSteelBook.com, the UK release does not street until December 16. Are you a reviewer with a pre-release copy? Has there been a press release with a spec listing? Have the discs been reviewed (and if so, link please)?

The Australian and UK discs were released 5 days ago. Over 100,000 people already have them in the UK, which Warner announced the day after release. The discs are identical between the Australian, UK, German and Spanish discs, and even have the ratings markings for all 4 countries on them.

There are many posts on UK and Australian forums that there is no BD-Live nor Digital copies.

I'd say "BluesteelBook.com" are the ones that need to get some factual information. Even a peek on Amazon.co.uk will show they shipped a few days ago.

United Kingdom The Dark Knight IMAX sequences

Ok, so I agree with the majority of people about the overall presentation of The Dark Knight blu ray. It's VERY disappoint, the 35mm scenes. It's especially disappointing for me as I remember seeing it at the IMAX when I was 22 years old, and I remember the 35mm scenes looking great, even if they were eclipsed by the tremendous IMAX scenes.

Now, the EE and weird colour space used in the blu ray version for the 35mm is unfaithful and atrocious, no doubt. However, the IMAX sequences are reference quality imo.

Is there ANY blu ray out there that can match TDK's IMAX scenes for clarity, depth and contrast????

I mean, it's still nothing compared to watch it on an actual IMAX format, but still, awesome for home entertainment.
