United Kingdom Dark Knight UK version

Anyone know why the runtime for the UK blu ray is only 146 mins? When the movie it theatres in the UK it was 152 mins (per bbfc.co.uk) and the US version on blu ray is also 152 mins.

Did some scenes get shortened? Imax scenes omitted? I'd really like to know--thanks in advance.

Where did you get that information from? My UK BD of TDK states 153 minutes on the back.

[bbfc; look at the top of the page it shows the thearical releases in the UK were 152 minutes but then at the very bottom of the list the video release shows 146 mins]

But you have the UK blu ray version and it says 152 on the back??

It says 153 minutes on both the BD case and the slipcover. I just put it in my PS3, which says the run time is 02:33:13.

That's strange, I wonder why it's listed at a shorter time on the internet. Thanks for checking and for the screenshot.

Can you confirm that there are Korean subtitles?

Maybe they've just copied the DVD run time. Due to PAL speed up to get the 24 frames of film to go in to 25 frames of PAL video, all films are 4% faster, thus making the run time shorter. Since the Blu-rays are 24 frame, you get the proper running time to match the cinema version.

Matt865- Great, thanks again for your help

Matt74- Yeah that makes sense. I don't think there's another plausible explanation.
