Default Did anyone hear about TV prices going down

I was listening to the radio the other day and one of the personality's stated that TV prices are going down near the end of December. She said that you will be able to buy a 50 inch Plasma for $699.00. It's not that i'm interested but my father is and i want him to get something good. Currently the prices for LCDs are goodl.

So I guess my question is did any of you guys/girls hear anything like this???

Couple companies were caught price fixing LCD panels to keep them artificially inflated in price. This could possibly be fallout from this. Also the economic situation has created a backlog of inventory as well.

So anything is possible.

I think they go down evey year to capitalize on the parents want list, plus they start the Superbowl TV sales. I got my 2 TVs last year, both before christmas were $1200, and a week into January they were both $950.
