‘Boss Baby 2’ Dated for March 2021 With Alec Baldwin Returning

DreamWorks Animation is moving forward on a sequel to its box office hit “The Boss Baby” and dated the film for March 26, 2021.

Alec Baldwin is returning to voice the title character with Universal Pictures distributing.

The sequel brings back the creative team from the sleeper hit for a new adventure based on award-winning author Marla Frazee’s picture-book series.

“The Boss Baby” opened this past March and has since grossed $469 million worldwide, including $167 million domestically.

Directed by Tom McGrath, the story follows a suit-wearing, briefcase-carrying baby that pairs up with his seven-year-old brother to stop the dastardly plot of the CEO of Puppy Co.

DreamWorks Animation is next set to release “Captain Underpants,” starring Kevin Hart and Ed Helms, on June 2.

Liked Boss Baby more than I expected. Four years is kind of long to wait though.

Kinda freaks me out that movies are already being dated for the 2020s. I know this isn't the first, but still. Weird.

They have so many other films in the pipeline I'm not surprised. Late 2019 or early 2020 for this would be better though.

I agree. Whenever they make a show of something I think it makes the movies less of an event to go see. That' why the How/Dragon movies dwindled off and I think the same would have been true for Croods even if it wasnt affected by pandemic.

and some people attacked Warner for doing it... They were ahead the curve. Now Disney, Sony and Universal are doing kinda the same.

How are Sony and Universal doing the same? They're the only 2 doing theatrical only.
