Glad you are enjoying your ST30, Steve. Big improvement from your old Sammy?

HUGE improvement. I didn't expect it to be much of an upgrade to be honest, and only a minor one if any. It was a pleasant surprise to see just how much better it is.

I got a few updated pics in my Movie Memorabilia and Gaming Collectibles folder.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception Collector's Edition

Batman: Arkham City Collector's Edition

I will be getting the Gears of War 3 Epic Edition at some point, but I have no idea where I'll put it.

well, i officially hate you now.

i'm trying to save up the funds to get pretty much everything you have on those shelves in the third picture; but with some of them costing $100/ea, it's been a bit difficult.

but awesome collection .....i'm truly jealous.

LOL Thanks! It all started because of the Master Chief's helmet on the second shelf, which I didn't buy until it dropped down to $60. That was my first collector's edition and the one that got me hooked. I'd say about half of them I bought after they had dropped in price fairly significantly. The others I paid for with cash from a part-time job. I still plan to pick up GOW3 Epic Edition, but there's no way I'm going to pay $150 for it. I'm hoping to see a reasonable price drop on it in the next month or so. Maybe Black Friday....

If the GOW3 Epic Edition hits the $100 point then I'll jump on it.

gonna be ordering star wars: the old republic collector's edition hopefully next week (if they have any left).

it's only for pc, but all my friends have already been playing the beta and have been begging me to get it. and if you order the collector's edition you get to play the full version a week early.

That set looks awesome. Too bad it's not for consoles. That would look sweet sitting on the shelf.

I'd definitely put it up with my collectibles if I played PC games.

So I just found out a couple of days ago that I've been playing games with my PS3 and watching blu-rays all this time with my PS3's RGB setting set incorrectly on full. It was playing Uncharted 3 that really got my attention because some of the dark levels were so dark that I had no clue where I was or what I was doing (or supposed to be doing) at times, even with the brightness level of the game turned all the way up. I posted here asking questions and someone was kind enough to draw my attention to this setting and why it should be set to limited instead of full. Basically I've been seeing some degree of black crush all along.

Bumping my old thread here because my TV had developed a very annoying buzz in the upper left corner (if looking at it from the front). It wasn't so bad when it started but it gradually grew louder and louder until I could hear it over people on screen talking. I did some Googling and used the video below as a guide and fixed the problem. If anyone else is having the same buzzing with your Panasonic TV, it appears that it's often just some loose screws inside that are the culprit and it's an easy fix.

I replaced my PS3 with the new model CECH4000 ultra slim and added some new pics to my HT gallery. Here are some comparison shots of my old model against the new one.

For the first time ever I get to see the following on my AV receiver.

I also picked up the Assassin's Creed III Collector's Edition.

I also have these collector's editions on pre-order, but I have no idea where on Earth I'm going to put them. I already had to remove my Killzone 3 collectible to make room for Marcus Fenix.

Here are some more updated pics. The PS3 has been upgraded, the Wii is gone, the Dish Network receiver is gone, and I added the PS3 controller base charger. We also added an Xbox Kinect, but it sits behind the center speaker out of sight when not in use.

So I've been away from this thread for almost FIVE years. Wow. Anyway due to a lightning strike several months ago I lost my TV, AVR, PS3, and subwoofer. At least I ended up with some nice upgrades. The new TV is a Vizio P65-C1, the new receiver is a Pioneer Elite SC-95, and the new subwoofer is a Power Sound Audio 15V. I also got a new PS4 (Uncharted edition) to replace the PS3 I lost. My sister had a PS3 just like the one I lost that she never used so I got that from her. Later I upgraded to an Xbox One S. My center speaker has been upgraded from an RC-62 to an RC-64 II and I recently added a pair of Klipsch CDT-5800-C II in-ceiling speakers (not related to the lightning strike). I also ended up replacing the amp in my Power Sound Audio XV15se and brought it back to life so now I'm running a 5.2.2 Atmos/DTS:X setup. It's a really nice upgrade I didn't even know I was missing out on.

I'm very sorry to read about your systems mishap, but I'm glad to read you were able to recover and rebuild

Might I now suggest you get yourself a power center to protect yourself from going through that again ...................... They're worth it in the long run

Damn Steve, that suck's that you lost all those piece's at once, however it seem's that everything has worked out for you with some fantastic upgrade's. Please add a decent quality power/surge conditioner to your beautiful set up. Very nice pic's .

I appreciate the comments. Ultimately I'd say it was worth it because I have a nicer setup now than I did before.

I do have a surge protector/power conditioner. I had that at the time of the incident. Funny thing is it doesn't appear to have been damaged. We know it was a very close strike. In addition to the stuff I listed above we also lost our modem, router, garage door opener, security system, and Comcast/Xfinity cable box. Comcast replaced that no questions asked. The rest was covered by insurance.

Which Brand and model do you have .............. ?

It was supposed to sacrifice itself to save your gear ........ So if you say it's still operational, you must have a faulty unit and I would get rid of it immediately
