Default Just updated my gallery

New RTi A9's.
Moved the RTi A7's to side surrounds.
Moved the FXi A6's to rear surrounds.
Added Wadia 170i digital iPod deck.
Added Emo XPA-3.
Added base board tracking to better conceal wires.
Added LED ambiant wall lighting.
Updated a few of my movie posters.
And added logo wall plaques to match the gear.

OK, now I am sooooo completely done... unless I start needing a bigger amp.

Default Very Nice HT

Question: Have you thought about or tried turning in the RTi A7's towards the seating line a bit? I'd think it might make the A6's even more effective in their Rear Surround work. Either way, Simply Gorgeous set-up you have there. Excellent looking room.

Looks great, and not to worry, you won't need a bigger amp. If you do that means your going deaf from playing those polks too loud with the XPA-3 powering them! The 9's are beatuiful.

I agree that it looks really good.

In addition to what Aero suggested, I would say switch the speakers with the Chest and shelf so they are at a direct 90 degree angle to the seating area, not behind. If you cannot move them, then face them towards the seating area dna not behind it.

Wonderful job. You've set up a wonderful listening area for watching your movies. It's seeing galleries like yours that gives me ideas for how I want my room to look once I finish it in the basement. You should be proud.

+1 as I rated sometime back. Those new polk speakers look massive. I beat they sound amazing. You could get another amp and bi wire/amp those things.

Appreciate the suggestions. I have done a ton of experimenting with multiple media sources, different placements and even elevations, and even though it is not exactly what the Dolby web sight says, I think I am getting the best sound just as they are. Keep in mind that the chairs are usually reclined when watching/listening and that does place your head almost directly between the side surrounds. If you move them forward, and recline the chair, then the side chairs are directly between your head and the speakers. I do think they look better turned slightly towards the center of the room, but they really do sound better aimed directly at the side of your head when you are reclined in the chair. Thanks again for the suggestions, and you probably have convinced me to turn them in....just a little.

Oh yea. Forgot to mention that everything sounds fantastic and I could not be more pleased. The only thing I might consider down the road would be some really mongo amps for the RTi A9's.... like the XPA-1's. But the whole set up is exactly what I have wanted for a long time.

Thanks for the nice comments!

OK. You guys convinced me. Surround RTi A7's now pointed in somewhat. Key difference is that the surrounds are just a bit de-emphasized and have a more dispersed sound.
