Where did you order your copy from? Here in the USA there was no 3D blu-ray release for The Seventh Son.

I had to order overseas back when it first appeared on blu ray 3D, but later noticed there were a few available on amazon.com at a reasonable price, but I see those are all gone, so I'd guess ebay will have some available hopefully from some trusted sellers.

Good point.

My reaction to Jeff Bridges' performance is also positive. Yes, he sounds like he has a mouthful of marbles, but his eccentric character traits are what I find intriguing and captivating. At times he is unintentionally hilarious.

I absolutely love the special effects and DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 sound mix. The creatures, the witches, the battles...it's all top notch excitement. Good music score too.

On my system the 3D presentation is exceptional. I cannot watch this movie in 2D because the 3D quality is that much better. I have no complaints about The Seventh Son 3D at all.

Seventh Son 3D is a generally fun movie and I agree, the effects were well done and the 3D especially. Glad you enjoyed it. Ben Barnes as Ward didn't look hopeful as a hero till later in the movie, after he confronted that giant. That's when Jeff Bridges' character started believing in him also. He later used a sword, then that staff to defeat his enemies.

I wish this did better in theaters, but Swords and Sorcery/Fantasy genre is a tough sell in mainstream theaters for a long time now, unless it's based on JRR Tolkien.

I loved this movie! Saw it in theaters in 3d, then eagerly imported the 3d bluray : ) the 3d at home looks even better. Everyone I've showed it to really enjoys it. I'm looking forward to King Arthur legend of the sword 3d on Thursday : ) Even though the box office numbers aren't always the best for this genre, I would like to see it stick around. Always cool to be immersed into another world. Especially when magic is involved : )

It always impresses me when I hear that the 3D blu-ray viewing experience at home is better than the 3D viewing experience in a theater.

Most cinemas suck, and struggle wtih brightness with 2d let alone 3d. A cinema at it's best kills all but the highest end front end projector setups imho. I mean finding one this good is like finding a needle in several hay stacks, but when you do it is glorious.

I just wanted to add that I picked up the Italian 3d version from e-bay and can confirm it is region free. It plays just fine on my Panny bdt330 and my bdt310. I tried to put it in my older non 3d Sony player to see if it will play in 2d, but it is only for 3d playback. The seller I got it from is located in the states and it was 24.95 with shipping included.

I wanted that Russian version, it was my first pick, but the delivery time seemed so far away, and I've had really bad luck with importing recently. I wanted instant gratification so I went with the Italian. It looks fantastic! I never thought I'd get my hands on Seventh Son in 3d. An amazing conversion that really has fun with the format.

The 3D is very good indeed. I love The creature design too, everything else is pretty poor though unfortunately, especially the script and performances.

I thought all of these were region free.....but I'd wait for confirmation. This site lists my Russian copy as region C but on the back of the cover it shows it's actually ABC so region free.

Great, thank you. FYI, amazon.it has 50% off if you buy 3. Might get this and beowulf which is region free as well. Need a 3rd one and you get some sweet deals.

My pleasure Rob26Smith. I just got the Beowulf 3d like two weeks ago for about 16 bucks. It was a third party seller from amazon US based out of Illinois.
