Playing a Region B Blu Ray on the DMP-BD35

Just recently got the DMP-BD35 and imported The Extras Special, from the UK.
I get past the Universal logos, the copyright info, when I hit play movie the screen goes black but I can still hear the audio.

When i hit pause, it pauses with a visual...so I'm not sure what it could be.

I have my player hooked up directly to my tv via hdmi, I'm not using a receiver.

That title is region locked.

Black Screen with Audio mean that the title is 1080i 50hz. I have Tiesto Show and it does the same thing because the Panasonic doesn't play 1080i 50hz video. I work on a Samsung 1400 tought (because the title is region free) and the samsung play pal

Another thing, if you're tv doesn't take 1080i 50hz, even if they player pass it (like the samsung or the BH 200 from LG using the remote hack), it will play distorted. Some tv takes it, some don't.

Generally the manual. But i just checked you're manual and it's not very clear. The Resolution state 1920x1080x60 (NTSC) only but there's a pharagraph on Moving the TV to another country. My guess is it's only 60.

There's no Blu-ray player right now that play 50 material on 60 tv. Maybe in the future. Like DVD player some have that fonction in them. But right now...

Nope. The only alternative you have is to built a little PC with a BR Reader. That way you have a Region Free Player and there's no 50/60 hz in the PC world it's all the same. Connect that PC to you're display

Off course that option is more $$$ than in worth imho..
