Default Best Place To Purchase Wall Mount?

Looking to mount a Panasonic 50" 800u and a 32" LCD. The LCD needs pull out, full motion. Kinda like on an arm. Needs to be flat against the wall when not in use, but swing out when needed. The plasma can be flat.

I was going to go with Sanus. However there was another brand we used up stairs on the plasma. Hooks were attached on the back and then HUNG on a bar. Once up there I used this L shaped tool to turn the bar and LOCK it into place. Can't remember the name of it. I think it had a red logo on it. I will have to look when I am at home.

So, any suggestions? I really don't want any cheap brands. Prefer name brand mounts within reason on cost. How do the low profile mounts look? Really nice? How does it attach to the tv and you put the tv up? Does it HOOK on or slide on? Looks a lot different than the one I used.

Thanks!

Thumbs up Monoprice -- strike that. COSTCO

I just got mine there and it was only $25.

Even at Costco they were $80 when on sale. Best Buy has the same thing for $250!

Mine was a tilt mount. You want an articulating mount. It will be a little more.

UPDATE:

The Monoprice mount was indeed cheap. I didn't like the way that it had limited horizontal positioning to center the TV.

I decided to have the TV taken down and mounted lower (at a more comfortable viewing height). While I was at it, I picked up the Simplicity mount at Costco. MUCH BETTER BUILD QUALITY! The 2 are not even in the same league. It has better centering capability and the machine bolts went much deeper into the plasma's threaded sockets. The tilt mechanism tilts UP and DOWN for viewing adjustment and allowing access to cables and inputs on the back.

This one was $99 since their sale was over. Still a good deal compared to BB, etc.

Thanks for the info. I am also checking the prices on Amazon for the Sanus and they are not that bad at all. 65 bux for a plasma mount.

I also bought a Sanus mount from Amazon. It was roughly $70 with free 2 day shipping. I also bought a mount for my brother's 50" panny at Monoprice and it was just as good. Similar price, but took a few days to arrive. You can't go wrong with either one, in my opinion.

I just recommended a tilt mount from monoprice to a friend, and installed it this week. I have also used dozens of sanus mounts, and the monoprice is a cheap mount. I mean price and quality. The tilting mechanism was really odd, and the mount felt as though it was a cheap metal. I am sure it will last, but remember, you get what you pay for a lot of the time. If it were me, I would look for a good price on a sanus mount, they are pricey at retail, but an good online deal should be worth it, they are good mounts.

This was my train of thought. They looked "cheaper". No offense to anyone that has one, I am sure they are just fine. I guess I am just used to Sanus. Amazon's prices are great. Retail is a joke. Best buy want's like $259 for a mount that cost half that online.

Also, thank you all for your input

The wife and I recently decided to mount our 46" Sharp LCD downstairs on the wall. So, when we were at Target last week, I bought a Sanus mount for $129.99. Later that night, I realized that I needed longer HDMI cables for the wall mount and went to Monoprice (always buy my cables there). I figured I would check out the wall mounts while I was on their site. I ended up buying their "best" (meaning able to handle the most weight) mount for $74.99. The next day we returned the Sanus wall mount to Target.

The mount from Monorpice was delivered to my house yesterday and I plan to mount the TV when I get home today. I am pleased with the apparent quality of the Monoprice mount. It is heavier than the Sanus mount. I don't know if that equates to a better unit, but it gives me more comfort.
