Default Panasonic DMP-BD35 $229.99 Today Only!

The deal of the day for Monday December 15th (today) on Best Buy.com is the Panasonic DMP-BD35 player for only $229.99 with free shipping. Not a bad deal, and is an excellent player based on the reviewers and people I know who own one (I own the previous model, BD30).

Not that really a great deal.

Costco has had the Panasonic DMP-BD35K for $199 for quite sometime now.

I guess for people that dont have a Costco membership you could have Best Buy price match it for you and see if they will give you an additional 10% like they claim.

By the way this thread belongs in the Hot Deals forum.

I believe you have the 35 series confused with the 30 series. Costco (at least those in Seattle) doesn't have the 35 series for $199, they have it for $279. Even their website lists it for $279. My guess is you have the two models confused, and Costco is offering the 30 series at a closeout price of $199, since they tend to buy up back stock from manufacturers and sell it at a discounted price. Best Buy here was trying to unload the 30 series for $199 as well. For the record, Best Buy doesn't price match Costco since it is a "membership" type of store.

I went to a Costco near Chicago and it was the BD-35 on sale not the 30.

This thread still should be in the Hot Deals forum; even if it is only an okay deal.

Negative, Kinsella - the DMP-BD35 was on sale at Costco. for 10 days at $199.99, with an $80 discount off the $279.99 price. I know, I picked one up, and there was a big thread over on the Hot Deals Forum.

Interesting, the Costco stores here in Seattle just had the 30 series unit, which is surprising, since Costco began here, you would think their locations here would carry them. My apologies to the forum user that I doubted. $199 is a great price, just a few years ago, they were $1000 for Blu-Ray players.

Best Buy's website has it (just checked) for $299.99 (the BD35), $399.99 for the BD55.

The reason why Best Buy is back up to $299 is because their "deal of the day" at the $229 price was for Monday only. Sounds like Costco is the better deal at $199 if it is still going on, not sure though.

Wth?! It must have been when it was Really Low (it's $279 today, with that 4-Movie deal). I assume that deal you got was on/near the Black Friday date?

** UPDATE: $299 now - Amazon. Lol. Gotta love their Down 1 minute, WAY Up the Next, down an hour later, up after that, etc., etc., etc. **

I have seen one decent deal on blu players this holiday season, when amazon had the 1500 samsung with 10 free blus for 199. It lasted all of about 5 minutes on the site before selling out and have yet to find one single other deal for a blu player. Sorry dad but no blu this x-mas for you, i just refuse to pay these insane prices when i have seen them going for alot less or with multiple giveaways.

i got mines from best uy that day.. Me and my wife prior to buying it on bestbuy.com went out to price check it and we went to cotsco and sams. sams didnt have it and cotsco here had the 30 series for 199 but the 35 was 279.00. Best buy had the lowest price compared to all the stroes. circuit city, sears, etc. so i jumped on my iphone and bought it. picked it up an hr later in store.
