The virtually identical Australian set is region free and like $60. And has more movies.

I've been watching several of the movies for the last few weeks myself. In fact, I've been trying to watch them in order of those intros and outros that have Price talking about the movie, but I'm missing a few it seems (or at least the movie that came after Pit and the Pendulum as I have no idea if The Raven was after that).

My scores so far for the movies I have watched are:

The Fall of the House of Usher - 10/10
The Pit and the Pendulum - 10/10
The Raven - 7/10
The Haunted Palace - 10/10
Comedy of Terrors - 9/10
The Masque of the Red Death - 9/10 (second time seeing the movie)
The Tomb of Ligeia - 6/10

I sold my Volume I set over the summer for a healthy amount and bought the superior (imo) Arrow discs. However, Arrow hasn't released Masque (probably my favorite Price film) or Witchfinder General. What are the best (and cheapest) options for those films? I feel incomplete without them.

UK Witchfinder General
German Masque (OOP), failing that the Australian Masque is the same (cut) version as Shout released.

I would pay serious coin for a decent release of "Confessions of an Opium Eater"!

For some reason I thought this was out on Blu, but obviously not. I think I watched it on Amazon Prime awhile ago....and it was defintely an odd but entertaining movie.

The Witchfinder General (or for some reason has aka The Conqueror Worm beneath its title on the box) - A much better experience compared to what I sat through last night, although far from perfect. There were a lot of aspects I liked, but I had to let go of expecting it to be masterfully crafted with a gothic atmosphere like Usher and PIt and the Pendulum had. Still, all of the actors did a fantastic job in their roles and I swear that I got some vibes from another movie I saw years ago but I can't remember what. I'm going to give it an 8/10 just because I felt it was weaker than Masque of the Red Death.

Well shit, that brings an end to the Vincent Price movies that contain the Iowa Gothic Horrors intros/outros I own. I guess that leaves me with the Dr Phibes movies left or The Return of the Fly. Ugh. I hope they are good.

If you can't be patient for a US release and are region free (would this be with Mill Creek?) Anolis put it out on Blu-ray.

Witchfinder General was not a Poe film, but AIP decided to sell it that way in the USA.
When I saw it on its original release, the title was The Conqueror Worm and there was an Edgar Allan Poe quote tagged on during the credits.

I have all 3 of the Shout volumes so would look to sell any that I can replace with the Australian set.
Any extras on that?

I heard something about the music being changed. Is this true?

Like a lot of AIP films the music was changed many years ago with home video releases being stuck with the reboots but the original scores were restored quite a long time ago and on some movies (not sure if WG was one) the home video release even mentioned music changes on the case even after the original had been restored

I don't remember anything about music being changed for Witchfinder General.
AIP did change scores for several films when they hit the USA market.
