Downloading, as far as a primary medium to obtain movie content is a long ways off. First, of all network speeds need to be improved, I couldn't imagine downloading, let's say POTC : Dead Man's Chest, on a broadband cable connection running at 7.0 Mbps. Second, the amout of storage space to hold a catalog of movies would be to pricey for what the common consumer would like to spend. Plus I may be in the minority here but I will not pay to download a move for a set period of time, I want to own it.

downloads aren't gonna win studios won't like downloads cause if ppl can download movies they can burn em easily on a disc they atleast feel safer with the idea of BD-J etc
