Hopefully more people watch this excellent movie. Probably the most overlooked film based on a Stephen King story/novel.

I want to give this another shot now. I wasn't a fan when I saw it many years ago but hopefully my opinion will change on a second viewing which happens frequently with me.

Yeah, it's a pretty easy decision. Taylor Hackford, Kathy Bates, JJL, I really liked the book, WAC releases all look great *and* pretty much everybody who's bothered to respond is going batshit.

Nary a red flag in sight.

Bates, Leigh and Strathairn were all excellent in this good, good movie. But it's subject matter is just such a downer. Watched it once, that was enough for me. Leigh was particularly terrific in this. Then again she pretty much nails all her roles.

Yes! I haven't read the book but this is perhaps my favourite movie that's based on King's novels.

it's a great book, one of my favorite of his non-horror/supernatural stories. it's all told in the form of a confession, in first person in Dolores' own vernacular. very entertaining read, i highly recommend it if you're a big fan of the movie.

Yeah, I've been meaning to read it for years and years. The movie had me transfixed.

One of the most impressive things about the book is that device never gets tiresome or feels gimmicky. I thought for sure it was going to get real old real fast.
