hey,

thought this would be interesting to check out. think of the possibiliteis of cheap BD players on the market what would happen?
check it out! althought it is from HDDVD.com

Well first off, very unbiased for hddvd.com, but anywhoooo...he's right, but I have an arguement for the whole dvd thing. I think that a lot of people still buy dvd's more just because they most likely purchased their player in the past 5 years, yes some people didnt have it when it first came out, so they do not want a new format since they havent had time to play with what they have. As for the wii and ps2 well, yea they're both cheap, and ps2 still has better games than the 360 and ps3 for now.

also not counting the backward compatibility. alot of consumers seems to want to hold off till the format war is over.
