What do you guys think? I need multichannel analog, other than that just interested in general concerns, PQ, AQ, loading times, upconverting, etc.
Circuit City is running a deal on the Sony for $350 + 2 movies. Best I've seen for the Panny is about $340 (although I'm waiting to see if prices change tomorrow). Give me your vote and reason, please...thanks. |

The Panny 55, it can send out HD audio while also sending out secondary audio, they Sony only sends out the standard DD & DTS with secondary audio. From what I understand. A good person to ask about all this is BIslander... like the Guru of the BDP's.

The two are very similar in performance but I went with the s550 since it looks better, has a better remote control, and most importantly it's made in Japan.
