Default Why are there paragraph spaces when writing a review!!!!!

THS IS FRUSTRATING!!!

how do you get those irritating paragraph spaces off when you're writing a movie review on the site!?!?!?!?! It is the websites fault or mine??? and if it's the website why wont they fix it instead of US trying to watch what we do?

For those who dont know how it looks its like this:

I for one LOVED MAMMA MIA! It's a let-go kind of movie and one that you
can't think too much
about because if you're already doing that then you definetly won't like the
movie. It's cheesy, it's
wacky and corny but it's supposed to be that way. There's no way of
capturing the feeling of
watching a movie musical in theatres because you're sitting in a room with
people who ACTUALLY
want to watch the movie and everytime, the audience that I saw it with was just having a BLAST!
But this Blu- ray has
excellent presentation of the movie so try it out, blast it up and just have fun!

WHY????????????

I understand your vent this is a problem, see for people who like to do there own spacing this site is broken in that regard.

I will say that you have to just do it like your working on word and accept the maximum width, because this site has absolutely no regard for custom paragraph width..

I personally am not use to this, as im a person that likes to create line paragraphs it makes my post(s) seem longer but its easier to read and edit...

Im with you on your dislike the forum is the same way.. and that messes me up alot...

Paragraph spaces are designed so that readers don't find themselves with a huge block which would discourage at least some to start reading it. I don't mind either.

Well, it seems that the OP is actually talking about weird line-breaks, not the space between paragraphs.

The reason it happens is because of the coding of the textarea that is used for the text box on the review / news comment pages. It's coded in such a way that certain browsers (Safari, for one) can't handle (mostly because it uses unsupported, non-standard code). So the line-breaks get added in when a user submits their text in the text box.

I tried using a custom CSS to over-ride on my computer for the non-standard code the site is using, but textarea isn't supported by CSS, so I can't over-ride it.
